We stayed in the Giraffe Suite and our 2 and 7 year old kids had an amazing time. They loved feeding the giraffes and petting the rhino. Everyone at Longneck Manor was very friendly and knowledgeable and the suite was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Fredricksburg's main street is only about a 12-15 minute drive from the sanctuary. We enjoyed every part of our trip and our animal guide Casey was wonderful as well. We would definitely recommend anyone to come stay at Longneck Manor.
Everyone should experience this place. The staff is amazing, the animals are amazing, the accommodations are incredible. They've taken something you can only partially experience at a zoo, expanded it exponentially and slowed it down so you can really learn about these animals and process their existence here on this planet. Every employee was knowledgeable and kind, quick to answer any question we had and made us feel at home. It is apparent that the people at Longneck Manor love the animals, the property and the mission. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
We visited for my rhino-loving wife's birthday. Barney was a gentleman and loved eating his alfalfa. The paintings were an awesome experience in itself. The knowledge laden staff answered all of our questions and it's evident that animals are well cared for. They explained that they are looking to expand to Okapi soon, so we will definitely have to return to see them. 10/10 experience. Thank you, Noel, for the tour!
I wanted to surprise my best friend by taking her for an animal encounter so we did not stay overnight on the property although we got to see some of the villas and they did look beautiful. We found that the animals were wonderfully taken care of the area was neat and clean, and that made us feel really good about visiting this place and supporting it 10 out of 10 recommend
We only came for the giraffe encounter. I gave 3 starts on the rooms just based on what I could see from the windows. Highly recommend the giraffe experience! It was so much fun! You get to meet a rhino and giraffes. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. The facility is beautiful and the animals are well cared for.
We visitors for my wife’s birthday trip and loved it. Spent two days with the giraffes and rhinos They are such beautiful animals. Longneck Manor is clean and beautiful. The suites are amazing and the staff is great. Feeding the giraffes, painting with the giraffes and rhinos is truly a unique experience. I highly recommend if you want a different experience. The town of Fredericksburg has so much to offer as well. Great restaurants, shoppes and enough wine tasting to satisfy any wine lover. Great trip, great people, amazing experience for couples or families.
We took 3 and 5-year-old boys for the 75 minute excursion. They Absolutely loved it. Our tour instructors were very knowledgeable and very friendly. The children were able to feed the animals and pet the rhino named Barney. They talked about it all the way home. Definitely worth the money!
The drive was wonderful from the main road to the welcome center. We were received with a warm welcome. The villa is really clean and well organized. Great internet and fresh air. Encountering with the gentle giants is great. The owner is really nice and have lots of experience with wild life. Interesting conversation with him. Really friendly people. I would highly recommend this as a refresher from the city life.
